Reiki is a Japanese form of alternative medicine called energy healing. I use a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which a "universal energy" is transferred through my palms to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy". Reiki is a very simple yet profound energy healing technique that provides an effective tool to combat one of today's biggest health threats...stress. Relieving stress allows the body to use energy more effectively and to support its natural healing processes. Whether you are feeling "stressed out" from daily life or you have a chronic dis-ease made worse by stress, Reiki can help calm the parasympathetic nervous system, giving your body time to rest and heal. I use a dedicated space and am experienced in creating that space when making house calls. I frequently play soft music during the session as a way of masking ambient noise.
